Just uploaded a new video of Sydney eating Sweet Potatoes for the first time.

On August 25, Sydney turned 6 months old and Andrea and I decided to take a few 6 month portraits to send to family. Well, it took us nearly 3 days of shooting to get a handful of decent pictures and then a couple weeks to edit them (I’m slow, I know) so now both sets of grandparents and Sydney’s god mother have the pictures so we can share them with everyone (didn’t want to ruin the surprise).
Just a quick update on Sydney, she still only has two teeth (both bottom front). She can sit on her own for a very long time. She can sit-up from lying down and just recently she’s started to crawl. She can only move forward a foot or two but my guess is that in a week or two she’ll be fully mobile. She’s started to get up earlier in the morning than she used to but still goes to bed at 8′ish.
This week she’s been eating asparagus (and seems to like it!) and now only has two vegitables left before we move on to fruit! She’s a great eater and gets better every day at eating spoonful after spoonful!
Here are the pictures, as usual, click on any one to see the rest.

I know, I know, it’s been a long time since we’ve posted anything. Well this weekend we’ve made a bunch of updates to the site. Lots of new pictures, several new videos and other such stuff. Sydney is now less than two weeks shy of 7 months old! Her two front (lower) teeth have come in, she sits up on her own for long periods of time and she’s probably just a couple short weeks (maybe even less) away from crawling! It’s amazing how fast things change and how fast she’s growing up.
On top of all of that, a couple weeks ago she took her first airpane ride to Michigan for Labor Day with the families. I was worried she would be uncomfortable with ear popping but on both flights she was just perfect. We are certainly blessed with a perfect little angel!

For those that missed it, you really do need to check this out. The Chinese really out-did themselves in the opening ceremonies. I’m normally bored silly watching Olympic opening ceremonies but this one kept my interest to say the least.

As you can tell, I’m trying to get myself back in the habit of updating the site more frequently, so here are a few pictures from the past 9 days. Sydney has been doing wonderful, we’ve moved her bed time over the past month to about 8:30 to 9:00pm and she’s still sleeping in until after 8am. She’s almost always in a good mood and smiles constantly. Andrea and I are the luckiest parents EVER!
Anyway, here she is, click on the picture to see ‘em all.
And here is a video I took today of Andrea feeding Sydney rice cereal!

I’ve processed and uploaded a few of my favorite pictures from July here at home. In addition, I’ve also added a couple videos so check em all out! Click on the pictures to see more.
As you can see in this picture, Sydney has developed her first bad habit! She’s weened herself off of pacifiers already but instead uses her thumb!
And here she shows off her rump!

Some of you might know that I’ve recently moved into our brand new HQ building in Franklin, TN. The official grand opening of the building was on July 22, 2008 and for the festivities they let us bring cameras to work. Tennessee Governor Bredesen, Tennessee Senator Lemar Alexander and Nissan President and CEO Carlos Goshn were all there to “welcome us home.” Check out pictures of the building and my new office by clicking on any of the images below.

As most of you know, Sydney, Andrea, Zoe and I all drove to Michigan and spent July 2nd - July 12′th with family and friends. For the fourth of July holiday we spent several days at Buddy’s Bunker up in Port Hope MI and had a great time with Andrea’s family. We then spent the remainder of our time with my family giving Sydney the opportunity to get to know her great grandma (who celebrated her 91st birthday on 7/7) and her Aunt Thelma and Uncle Keith and their family. All in all we had a great time and want to thank everyone for their hospitality. A whole schwack of pictures have been uploaded to the gallery and can be seen by clicking on any of these example pictures.
There are many pages of images from our trip, not all of those pages are linked above, you’ll need to navigate around a little bit. Also, I still have to upload a bunch of images so check back - I’ll update this post when I’ve done that.
- UPDATED 8/9/08 - More photos uploaded, see new post above.
See you soon!
