Lindsay Anne was born on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 5:34pm central time. She weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz. and measured 19.75 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing great! Sydney and her Grandma have been to visit us in the hospital several times and I think Sydney is slowly warming up to the idea of having a little sister. (With an emphasis on “slowly”) The Pediatrician examined little Lindsay Saturday morning and said everything was perfect. Thanks to everyone for all the loving support we’ve received and thanks to God for his grace and mercy and his continual blessings. Click the picture to see the full size version.
I guess if I say I’m adding a couple videos of Sydney it might not be a bad idea to add more than one eh? Here’s the other one. It’s old school back from April when Sydney was just starting to walk. Pretty crazy looking back on it now!
I love vacations, it’s just not very often that we get to go on a “real” one! Well over labor day weekend earlier this month we over compensated by taking a great 5 day vacation in North Western Wyoming – Jackson Hole to be exact. Except for the long drives between, well between just about everywhere; and the two flights to and from Tennessee, we had a great time! One thing for sure, an 18 month old sitting on your lap for four two hour flights is not something I recommend you do very often!

Now that it’s almost September I guess it’s about time to update the blog since our trip back to Michigan for the July 4th holiday where we also celebrated another birthday for my Grandma! We had a great time in Port Hope with Andrea’s family and then at my parents home in Canton. I’ve uploaded a bunch of photos for y’all to enjoy. While in MI we made public the fact that Andrea is pregnant again and is due February 19th, almost 2 years to the date from when Sydney was born (2/25/08).
I’ll have a bunch more photos to upload in a few weeks after we return from our first real family vacation to Jackson Hole WY where we’ll visit Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks. We can’t wait!
A friend of ours not-so-gently reminded me that it has been far to long since I’ve updated our blog (thank you for that BTW!). It’s not that I haven’t updated the photo gallery, it’s just that I never seem to make the time to actually post links to the new pictures! So, here it goes, I’m going to link to all our recent updates and then I’ll try to get back to regular updates after the July 4th holiday.

Yesterday was scarry. Andrea’s parents were in town, Andrea and her mom had gone shopping while Ron, Sydeny and I held down the fort at home. Next thing I know Andrea text messages me saying they were all being ushered into a break area in the store they were at due to a tornado warning and that we should take cover. We turned on the news and the radar pictures and weather men commentary was more dire than I’ve ever heard. Our part of town was surronded by tornados (reports of 5 different twisters but only 1 caused damage). Through God’s grace and mercy all the tornados went North and South of our house but 250 other homes were destroyed within a 5 mile radius. Thank God everyone we know made it through uninjured and without damage, albeit with some good stories and pictures and in at least one case with only 50 yards to spare!
We’re all okay and so is our home. Thanks to everyone who called with concerns yesterday!

Well it looks like I had a senior moment (before I’m even close to being a senior)… The day we returned from MI after Sydney’s birthday party I edited and uploaded the photos to the website but completely forgot to make a blog post about ‘em! Anyay, we just wanted to thank everyone for taking the time to join us for Sydney’s first birthday party. I’m sorry we didn’t get to spend more time with everyone but seeing everyone again was wonderful! Anyway, we’ll be heading back to MI for Ted & Michelle’s wedding in just 5 days. We’re getting quite used to that drive!
