I won’t go into to much detail here to keep from getting lynch mobbed by all the people wanting to see pictures NOW! We would have loved to share photos sooner but none of us had camera phones but rest assured many pictures and high definition videos are on their way. So without further adieu-
I would like to introduce to you for the very first time, our precious daughter, Sydney Marie -

First update:
Sydney was born at 8:50pm on Monday February 25, 2008 at the Middle Tenn Medical Center
At birth she weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and measured 20 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing just great and are both resting nicely at home.

Keeping up with the corny NASA theme, it appears the 2/24 due date will pass by with little activity on the labor front. Andrea is experiencing un-productive contractions which started on Friday afternoon. They’re very inconsistent and not really growing in intensity. Her new final doctors appointment is scheduled for tomorrow at 2pm when we hope to get an induction scheduled. Anyway, my mom came in from Detroit on Thursday evening and is patiently waiting with us. Since her arrival, Andrea has relieved herself of kitchen duty so there’s a new cook in camp! Anyway, I’ll post an update tomorrow with what the doctor said. Cross your fingers!

So Andrea had her last Dr. appointment today (well we thought it was the last…) and everything checked out ok except the doctor had a hard time getting Sydney to wake up from a nap so they decided to do another ultrasound. Of course she woke up for that and gave us a little show. So without further adieu, here are her most recent pictures!
Sydney’s Face (see her eyes, nose and chubby cheeks)

She has hair!

No Y chromosome (to much information I’m sure)
And my personal favorite, Sydney grabbing her little foot with her hand and pulling it closer to her-

Well Andrea had her second to last prenatal doctor visit today and they did a biophysical profile (without a non stress test). Sydney scored 8/8 which is perfect. They did this because Andrea’s blood pressure was elevated at last weeks appointment. Interestingly enough, her BP was lower this week which obviously is a good thing. Anyway, the doctor said that they can schedule an induction at next weeks appointment if Andrea wants (I think it’s safe to say she does)

Now we’re getting close (we hope). At this point Andrea is getting more and more uncomfortable but still seems to be doing quite well from what we’ve heard from others with her “condition.” In a few days she is scheduled for a final ultrasound to check the fluid levels around Sydney. If we’re lucky they may induce labor! Wishful thinking, I’m sure.
Anyway, here’s Mrs. Sassy-

I’m now wishing I had taken her picture every week… Maybe next time
Here she is, in all her glory at 35 weeks…

Here are a few shots of the baby bump from our trip to Michigan over the Christmas holiday.
Getting bigger!

Just going to post a few times here sharing some of Andrea’s “prego” pictures. This one is from 10/21/07 while Andrea’s parents were in town. Ron and I had just finished setting up the crib they bought us as an early shower gift. At the time I thought her belly was getting really big… Boy was I wrong (as you’ll soon find out!)
